Requirements for CE Credit

In order to receive up to .06 CEUs (6.0 Contact Hours), participants must participate in all accreditied session(s) and complete the online activitiy evaluation(s) following the activity.  Online evaluations must be completed before the ACPE 60-day cut-off date:  February 5, 2020.  Once the online evaluation is completed, CPE credits will automatically be submitted to the pharmacist's online NABP CPE Monitor profile (within 7 days of evaluation completion).  It is the participant's responsibility to check their online CPE Monitor Profile to confirm CPE credit was received and contact UT Continuing Pharmacy Education prior to the 60-day cut-off date if there is a discrepancy.  CPE credits cannot be awarded or corrected after February 5, 2020.

- List a step-wise approach to preparing for student rotations
- State the 4 preceptor’s roles
- Explain educational techniques for precepting
- Develop educational objectives

- Develop rotation activities based on desired learning outcomes
- Create a rotation schedule based on assignments and important deadlines
- Develop a set of goals and expectations for students based on your rotation type
- State topics that should be addressed during the rotation orientation
- Describe intentional precepting
- List methods for customizing rotations for pharmacy students
- Explain methods for assessing student performance on rotation
- Utilize an experiential grading rubric to assess a mock student
- Describe strategies for delivering effective feedback
- State Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements for preceptors
