Nutrition Workshop
Friday, September 27 • DoubleTree North Hotel  •  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About:  This workshop has been developed in response to the numerous requests we received after last year’s seminar, for Linda White, R.Ph. to return to PPS to conduct one of the Nutrition Workshops that she and her colleague have developed as part of their nutrition education company, pharmFoodie.  The workshop is entitled, The Impact of Weight Loss on Chronic Disease Management and Prevention, and it will be delivered with the same practical and insightful perspective that Linda shared with PPS audience members last year.

Joining Linda as a speaker this year will be her pharmFoodie co-founder, Bethany Boyd, R.Ph., Ph.D., who shares the same enthusiasm for educating pharmacists about nutrition.  The course will be structured around interactive learning opportunities and group discussions.  The workshop is designed for pharmacists who wish to learn easy and simple nutrition-based modifications that can improve their patients’ health, as well as ideas for practical implementation into pharmacy practice.  The live workshop is accredited for 8 hours of CPE credit, and there will be a 3-hour home study requirement that must be completed prior to attending the live workshop.  The home study is designed to enrich the interactive learning activities and group discussions that will be conducted at the live workshop.
