UT Preceptor • Best Practices for Precepting an Institutional IPPE (I-IPPE)


 
This program is designed for Active UT Austin College of Pharmacy Preceptors who wish to earn 1.00 hours of precepting CE credit to use towards their 3.0 hours needed to maintain precepting certification, as required by TSBP rule 283.6(a)(3)(B)

Learning Objectives
 
  • Describe requirements of the institutional Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE)
  • Discuss best practices for coordinating student orientation and communicating preceptor expectations, workflow introduction and general project ideas
  • Sketch process for incorporating students into workflow, identifying general project ideas and setting technology expectations.

Activity Description

This program may be applied toward the Texas State Board of Pharmacy CPE requirement for maintaining precepting certification.


Continuing Education Credit
 
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hours) of continuing education credit. In order to receive 1.00 contact hours of CE credit, the participant must complete the online pre-test (ungraded), watch the video in its entirety, pass the post-test ( > 70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation.  Continuing Pharmacy Education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 7 days). Please make sure NABP profile and date of birth (month/year) are correct under learner's profile in this system.
