Psychotropic Medication Utilization Parameters for Foster Children and Youth

 
Summary:
In this activity, Dean Crismon discusses the general principles for use of pyschotropic medication in children, identifies parameters that indicate that medication treatment needs to be further evaluated for appropriateness, and identifies specific controversies that need to be addressed in using psychotropic medications in youth.  
 
Target Audience:
This course is designed for pharmacists. 
 
Program Design:
This course is presented in a lecture format, available via MP4 files, and is accompanied by PDFs of the presenter's PowerPoint slides.  A post-test and program evaluation will be completed after reviewing the content of each presentation.  The post-test and evaluation must be completed BEFORE May 1, 2016.
 
Note:  The video and PDF documents were developed to work on most computers, tablet, and smartphones.
