The content was initially created for UT Austin preceptors and may include content that is directed specifically at UT Austin. However, most of the concepts and content are usable for anyone engaged in precepting pharmacy students. The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is offering this low-cost preceptor content to help preceptors nationwide who may find this content useful in their preceptor development

Continuing Education Credit
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hour) of continuing education credit. To receive 1.00 contact hour of CE credit, the participant must watch the included video in its entirety, pass the online post-test ( >70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation. Upon successfully completing the course evaluation, the continuing pharmacy education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 3-7 days).

Dr. Craig Cox serves as the Vice Chair for Experiential Programs, based on our Lubbock campus. As Vice Chair, he supervises all of the roles within the Experiential Programs Office, including the Senior Director, Assistant Directors, Lead Specialists, Unit Coordinator, and Coordinator. Dr. Cox also serves as an Ex Officio member of the Curricular Affairs Committee and the Continuing Education, as well as Chair of the Preceptor Advisory Council. Through all of these roles, he oversees the experiential curricular development strategies, the preceptor development strategies, the quality assurance strategies, and coordinates accreditation and assessment efforts as they relate to Experiential Programs and Continuing Education. Dr. Cox serves as the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy experiential representative at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
