The content was initially created for UT Austin preceptors and may include content that is directed specifically at UT Austin. However, most of the concepts and content are usable for anyone engaged in precepting pharmacy students. The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is offering this low-cost preceptor content to help preceptors nationwide who may find this content useful in their preceptor development

Continuing Education Credit
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hour) of continuing education credit. To receive 1.00 contact hour of CE credit, the participant must watch the included video in its entirety, pass the online post-test ( >70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation. Upon successfully completing the course evaluation, the continuing pharmacy education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 3-7 days).

Linda Albrecht received a BS degree in Pharmacy from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. She completed a residency in pharmacy practice at Rhode Island Hospital. From 1984 to 1994, Linda was Education Coordinator for the Department of Pharmacy Services at Parkland Health and Hospital System. Currently, Linda serves Instructor and Internship Coordinator in the pharmacy technician training program at Richland College in Dallas, Texas and as a Regional Director of the Dallas/Fort Worth internship program for the University of Texas College of Pharmacy. She also works as a consultant pharmacist in ambulatory surgery centers.

Linda is Past President of the Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists where she has also served as Secretary, Director and Annual Seminar Chairperson. Linda has served the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists as Secretary, Co-Chair for the 1992 and 1995 Annual Seminars, Membership Group Chair, and Awards Group Chair. Since 1998 she has served as Executive Secretary for Alcalde, The Southwest Leadership Conference for Pharmacy Residents, Fellows and Preceptors.

Linda was the first recipient of the Pharmacist Recognition Award presented by the Technician Section of TSHP and received the Individual Educational Excellence Award presented by the Texas Pharmacy Association. In May of 2004, she received the NISOD Excellence Award given by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Community College Leadership Program.

Linda was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Other memberships include the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council and the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians.

Linda and her husband Jon, have been married for 25 years and has 3 daughters, Natalie, Rosemary and Christy. In her spare time, Linda enjoys showing dogs, cross-stitching, walking and attending professional sporting events.
