COVID Rx: Quick Updates


Activity Overview
This online continuing education series will explore current developments regarding COVID-19 and examine the impact on patient care.  Each module will look at a new hot topic and identify the key take away points about the latest data, helping pharmacists to translate the information into practice.  The modules are delivered in 30 minutes or less and they may be completed individually/out of order to allow easier access for busy healthcare professionals.  This series will support pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to navigate through COVID-19 by improving their understanding of the rapidly evolving data and how it applies to practice.  Please note:  although this information is useful to all healthcare practitioners, currently it is only accredited for pharmacy CE credit.
 
Activity Faculty
 
Bryson Duhon, PharmD, BCPS of The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy will present the COVID-19 updates.  Dr. Duhon has authored and co-authored multiple publications and abstracts and he shares with learners his valuable and practical insight about interpretting data and literature.  Dr. Duhon originally began posting COVID-19 discussions to help family and friends make sense of the ever-evolving data coming out in the news and quickly his distilled information has become a reliable resource for many.  Dr. Duhon currently serves as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions at UT College of Pharmacy.  Financial Disclosure:  Dr. Duhon does not have any financial relationships to disclose.
Activity Format
  • Every other week a new module will be released (6 total modules). (Dates of release may vary based on availalbe data)
  • Each module will consist of a brief video presentation ( < 30 min) and downloadable slides (optional).
  • Participants may use this single registration for access to all modules as they are loaded.  Please be sure to register only once, then log in for future modules. 
  • New modules will be added based on content release in order to provide up to date research reviews.  Dates listed for release in future modules is subject to change.
  • To earn CE credit for each module, participants must review the learning objectives, view the presentation video/handout, complete the brief post-test (no minimum grade required) and complete the online evaluation.
  • CPE credit will be uploaded to participants' CPE Monitor profiles upon successful completion of each activity module (allow 14 days).
  • NOTE:  It is the pharmacist's responsibility to confirm CE credit was received by logging into their CPE Monitor profile and addressing any discrepancies within 60 days of completing the module by contacting UT Continuing Pharmacy Education (UT CPE cannot make CE corrections after the 60-day window).

Requirements for CE Credit

 The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This online CE activity consists of six online modules (0.5 CE hours each) for a max of 3.0 CE hours.  To receive CE credit for each online module, participants must view the module content, complete the post-test (no minimum score required), and complete the module evaluation.  Credit is awarded online through CPE Monitor (allow 14 days).

  • After you are registered/logged in, click on the title of the module you wish to complete (modules listed below) and scrolll down to view the VIDEO and downloadable SLIDES. 
  • After you have reviewed the video/slides, take the brief post-test (no minimum grade required) by clicking the GREEN "Take the Test" button.
  • Once the test has been completed, the evaluation will become accessible.  
  • After completing the evaluation, you will then receive CE credit through CPE Monitor (allow 14 days for credit to appear in your profile).  Login to your CPE Monitor profile within 60 days to confirm credit was awareded properly.
