Continuing Education Credit
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hour) of continuing education credit. To receive 1.00 contact hour of CE credit, the participant must watch the included video in its entirety, pass the online post-test ( >70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation. Upon successfully completing the course evaluation, the continuing pharmacy education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 3-7 days).

He received his B.S.Pharm. and Pharm.D. degrees from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers: The State University of New Jersey. Afterward, he completed a Post-graduate (PGY1) Community-based Pharmacy Residency with Walgreens at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. After residency, he worked in various community pharmacy settings ranging from a large national chain, a small regional chain, and owned an independent pharmacy. Nathan was the Residency Program Director for the H-E-B/UT PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program for 14 years from 2008 - 2022. He is a recipient of the Bowl of Hygiea Award, the APhA Community Pharmacy Residency Excellence in Precepting Award, and is a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

Glen E. Baumgart, Ph.D.

Dr. Baumgart received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. He joined the college after serving as the Executive Director of The University of Texas at Austin’s Volunteer and Service Learning Center.
