Continuing Education Credit
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.125 CEUs (1.25 contact hour) of continuing education credit. To receive 1.25 contact hour of CE credit, the participant must watch the included video in its entirety, pass the online post-test ( >70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation. Upon successfully completing the course evaluation, the continuing pharmacy education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 3-7 days).

Dr. Karboski earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He continued his training in Texas where he completed a Clinical Sciences Fellowship in Pharmacokinetics at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Karboski directed the Adult Internal Medicine Residency program in collaboration with Brackenridge Hospital for 15 years, supervised 14 residents and created a program that was nationally recognized as a superior training program for future academicians. Dr. Karboski teaches extensively in the undergraduate, Pharm.D., and graduate programs at the University of Texas with an emphasis on cardiovascular therapeutics and physical assessment. Has been a past recipient of the Texas Excellence Teaching Award, the University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award and he has been cited numerous times by the P4 class as a faculty member who had the highest impact on their professional development. Currently, Dr. Karboski’s interests focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning.
