Continuing Education Credit
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hour) of continuing education credit. To receive 1.00 contact hour of CE credit, the participant must watch the included video in its entirety, pass the online post-test ( >70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation. Upon successfully completing the course evaluation, the continuing pharmacy education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 3-7 days).

About the Speaker 
Thida Thant, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

Dr. Thida Thant is a faculty psychiatrist at the University of Colorado Department of Psychiatry and is the Director of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service and the Psychiatric Consultation for the Medically Complex clinic, and the Assistant Chief of Service for the Psychiatry Community Practices. She graduated with a BA in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas in Austin, attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and completed her psychiatry residency and CL fellowship at the University of Colorado. Her professional interests include cannabis in medical education and comprehensive mental health care for medically and neurologically complex patients, with a more recent focus on long-haul COVID. She has written about cannabis and psychiatric care in books such as Marijuana and Mental Health and Cannabis in Medicine and has published an AAMC MedEdPortal curriculum entitled "What You Need to Know About Cannabis: An Evidence-Based Crash Course for Mental Health Trainees" as well as a Springer publishing book titled "Cannabis in Psychiatric Practice: A Practical Guide". In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, skiing, paddleboarding and hanging out with her pups Wall-E and Reba.
