Target Audience
Pharmacists interested in serving as a preceptor for The University of Texas College of Pharmacy or pharmacists currently serving as a preceptor for The University of Texas of College of Pharmacy needing to recertify their preceptor status.
 
Goal
To provide pharmacists the information and skills to serve as a University of Texas College of Pharmacy preceptor.

Requirements for CE Credit

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This Knowledge-based activity has been accredited for 0.3 CEUs or 3.0 contact hours based on successful completion.  Successful completion of the program includes attending the accredited sessions, completing a Record of Attendance Form at the program, and completing the online evaluations following the program.  Upon completion of the online evaluations, CPE credit will be uploaded to CPE Monitor (www.mycpemonitor.net) where participants may view/print their CPE credit (allow 1-2 business days after completing the online evaluations for CPE records to be viewable in CPE Monitor.

Objectives

  • Utilize PhIRST and CANVAS as tools for supporting the UT internship program
  • Document accurately student attendance during the rotation using the Internship Hours Sheet
  • Assess and document student performance during rotations using the APPE Rotation Evaluation Form
  • Explain region policies regarding intern attendance, contacting of preceptors, submission of paperwork
