The University of Texas College of Pharmacy welcomes you to the 32nd "VIRTUAL" Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update CE event providing on demand programming along with a day of live broadcast programs on October 15, 2020.
The Virtual Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update features 19 hours of continuing education content under one registration. The program includes a day of Live Broadcast sessions via Zoom webinar on October 15, as well as additonal On Demand activities. On Demand and recordings of the Live sessions will remain available to registrants through October 2021.
All content will be available on this site. Links to the live webinars and videos will be placed in the modules below. All your Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update content in one place.

Welcome to the VIRTUAL Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update for 2020
We are excited to have you join us this year online. Below are modules, one for each online activity.
Live Broadcast sessions start on October 15, with a general Welcome before the first session. See the instructions below for how to view the Online Broadcasts:
Live Broadcast Instructions:
NOTE: When attending the webinars, your camera and microphone are automatically turned off and disabled for the duration.
Access Content (Log In): On October 15, click on the session tab below when its time.
Note, all times are CT. (Make sure you have "logged in" to this LMS system prior to accessing the webinar links. After logging in, look for the Psych banner "Access Content" to return to this page.
Links to Live Zoom Webinars: Open the tab, and then click the Zoom webinar link for that session.
Note, there is a different link for each Live Broadcast session. For each session you have to click on the tab, and on the Zoom link for each session when its scheduled to start.
Log in to Free Zoom Account: Be sure to have logged in to your Zoom account.
You can view the webinar in a browser window, or in the Zoom app.
Questions for Speakers: You can submit questions to the presenter via the "Q&A" link at the bottom of the Zoom page.
Our committee will be reviewing questions, and asking the speaker during the last 10 minutes of the session.
Evaluations for CE Credit: Once the session has ended, click on the green Complete Evaluation button to complete the online evaluation for CE credit.
Note, evaluations must be completed for each broadcast session and on demand video.
Credit and sessions completed will be added to your certificates (pharmacy NABP profile) upon completion
Breaks: There will be 15 min breaks between sessions. After the break, make sure to open the next tab for the new Zoom link.
Exhibitors: Be sure to visit our online exhibitors. Their content is located inside the break tabs.
Overall Evaluation: After the last session of the day on October 15, please take a moment to complete the "OVERALL EVALUATION".

FACULTY
Dr. Fleming is Associate Professor and Department Chair of Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Fleming was a practicing pharmacist for 15 years before receiving his PhD in Health Outcomes and Pharmacy Practice from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. Dr. Fleming is currently working with Texas Health and Human Services Commission on two SAMHSA funded grants concerning prescription drug misuse and addressing the opioid crisis. He has also conducted studies assessing the utilization of the Texas prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) among pharmacists and emergency physicians. Prior research studies include examining the impact of hydrocodone rescheduling on physician prescribing, as well as analyzing data from the Texas PDMP to identify multiple provider episodes. Dr. Fleming has presented on pharmaceutical drugs of misuse and PDMPs to numerous state and national audiences.

Dr. Ashley Garling is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Division of the University of Texas at Austin. Allison Vordenbaumen Benz graduated from the University of Texas, College of Pharmacy in August 1988 and completed a Master’s of Science degree in Pharmacy Administration through the Option II program at the University of Texas at Austin in December 1994. Following graduation, she worked as a community pharmacist in California and Texas.
Allison has been an employee of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy since August 1994 and has served for 6-years as Senior Enforcement Officer, 3-years as Assistant Director of Enforcement, and 14-years as Director of Professional Services before being appointed to her present position on December 1, 2017. In her position as Executive Director, Allison serves as the chief executive officer of the agency and an ex-officio member and secretary of the Board.
Allison is a member of the Capital Area Pharmacy Association; the National Association of State Controlled Substances Authorities; the National Alliance for Model State Drug Laws, Prescription Monitoring Program Resource Group; and the National Charity League, Inc., Capital of Texas Chapter. Her awards include the Texas Pharmacy Association, “Forty Under 40” Award in July 2006.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.15 CEUs (1.50 contact hours) of continuing education credit. In order to receive 1.50 contact hours of CE credit, the participant must watch the video in its entirety, complete the online post-test, and complete the online evaluation. Please make sure NABP profile and date of birth (month/year) are correct under learner's profile in this system.
This program meets the 1 hour Texas Law CPE requirement for Texas relicensure.
