2013Immunization Update


Immunization Update
 
About:  The Immunization Update is designed for pharmacists who are already certified to administer immunizations and vaccinations, and who need to obtain their TSBP-required 3 hours of immunization-focused CE credit to maintain their certification.  The goal is to provide attendees with relevant clinical and practice information, in order to keep abreast of current immunization practice information.
 
This program is offered as a Pre-Seminar program of the Pharmacy Practice Seminar (PPS) event.  For more informaiton on PPS, please see the website at:
 
Registration for the Immunization Update is open to any pharmacist.  Registration for PPS is not required.  
 
PPS participants must register seperately for this program.

Requirements for CE Credit

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This activity is approved for 3 contact hours (0.3 CEUs) of continuing education credit. In order to receive 3 hours of CE credit, the atendee must participate in all sessions of the activity, and complete the online Evaluations for each session on this website at the conclusion of the program. Specific ACPE credit numbers and hours are noted in Agenda. CPE credit will be issued through CPE Monitor approximately 2 to 3 business days upon successful completion of the online evaluations.

  • Identify changes or updates to the immunization schedule for persons aged 0 through 18 years and adults based on January 2013 guidelines.
  • Evaluate the most current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations.
