This program may be applied toward the Texas State Board of Pharmacy CPE requirement for maintaining precepting certification.

Continuing Education Credit
 
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hours) of continuing education credit. In order to receive 1.00 contact hours of CE credit, the participant must complete the online pre-test (ungraded), watch the video in its entirety, pass the post-test ( > 70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation.  Continuing Pharmacy Education credits will automatically be uploaded to CPE Monitor (allow 7 days). Please make sure NABP profile and date of birth (month/year) are correct under learner's profile in this system.

About the Faculty

Samantha Vogel, PharmD, BCPP
Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy

Samantha Vogel, PharmD, BCPP, is a board-certified psychiatric pharmacist in UT Health Austin’s Integrated Behavioral Health Center. She specializes in providing safe, evidence-based therapy for a variety of conditions, and her services include reviewing medication regimens, monitoring treatment efficacy, counseling, and education for patients with complex pharmacy and mental health needs. Additionally, Dr. Vogel is a clinical assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Vogel earned her pharmacy degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her bachelor’s in biological chemistry from The University of Texas at Arlington. She completed both a residency in pharmacy practice and a second residency in psychiatric pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and Seton Healthcare Family/Dell Medical School.
