The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This online activity is approved for 0.10 CEUs (1.00 contact hour) of continuing education credit. To receive 1.00 contact hour of CE credit, the participant must watch the included video in its entirety, pass the online post-test ( >70% within 5 attempts), and complete the online evaluation. About the Speaker
Samantha Catanzano, Pharm.D., BCPP

After graduating with her Pharm.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Catanzano completed a pharmacy practice residency followed by a psychiatric pharmacy practice residency at Seton Healthcare Family and The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Following her residency training, she gained experience as a clinical and staff pharmacist at the Austin State Hospital. Currently, she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She also provides academic lectures to first- and second-year psychiatry residents and addiction medicine fellows through Dell Medical School’s Department of Psychiatry. In addition to her academic appointment, she is a Psychiatric Pharmacist at UT Health Austin within the Integrated Behavioral Health Department where she serves the Primary Care, Musculoskeletal, Post-COVID-19 Program, and Multiple Sclerosis clinics. In this role, she functions as part of a multidisciplinary team to address complex pharmacology and mental health needs in the community setting. Additionally, she is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor and is an active leader within the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP).
